The Hendon Mob Blows Free From Full Tilt Poker

Respected tournament tracking website TheHendonMob.com and the four UK pros associated with the site have decided to take their chances on their own rather than wait to find out the final outcome of Full Tilt Poker's predicament. The two sites had successfully partnered and cross-marketed for several years. The Hendon Mob's principals Barny Boatman, Ross Boatman, Joe Beevers and Ram Vaswani had each become Full Tilt Red Pros in the process and now will give up those roles.
“Like everyone else in poker we have taken a close interest in the development of recent months and we are saddened by the problems that continue to beset Full Tilt Poker…

We are well aware that a great deal of players including many who signed through The Hendon Mob still have money on FTP, as well as steps tickets, player points etc. going forward, and in any scenario where Full Tilt Poker resumes trading, we will as an affiliate continue to look out for the interests of our players and to try to achieve the best possible outcome regarding their funds. We do not take the loyalty of our community for granted.”
The Hendon Mob pros, who have collectively won more than $10 million in live tournament earnings over the years, indicated that the reason for the split was ultimately financial.
“The Hendon Mob employs a sizable staff of full and part time people who are dedicated to maintaining and improving the database, the forum and everything else that the poker community expects from our website. We are currently running at a substantial loss and this is not sustainable in the long term.

This frees us for new opportunities, both as a website and as players and we look forward to an exciting future that we hope you will all be a part of.”
It is interesting timing coming five months after Full Tilt Poker was shut down for the U.S. during Black Friday and months after being completely shut down by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. The latest hearing to determine if Full Tilt Poker will receive their license back, which is going on in private, is scheduled for today September 19th in London.

Over the years, TheHendonMob.com has become a reliable resource for poker fans and media to access the extensive live tournament database and player details that are a necessary element of accurate reporting. The site also has an active community with poker articles and forum.
