It has been less than a month since Gamescom 2011 with a total prize pool of $1,600,000 involved for the winners. Today, EHOME announced on Microblog that the team has officially received their prize winnings of $250,000 for Gamescom, and it is certainly credited to the efficiency of Valve in their organization of the tournament.
The team known as EHOME today is not the team that went to Gamescom. Currently playing with a new roster (see), two players, Crystal and 820, have already left but will of course be part of the $250,000 (or 16 million RMB) bounty in store for them.
Furthermore, EHOME was not charged with any huge cuts of their winnings during transaction but a small $50 bank processing fee per person. Each member of the participating roster has taken home $49,950 in cash. A shot of the receipt can be found below:
Indeed, it is great to know that Valve has been faithful towards paying its winners and with The International returning for a second time next year, it will no doubt attract the top teams back to its grounds once again.
Update: Correction. The $50 was not a bank fee, rather it was a test wire by Valve to ensure that they have gotten their bank accounts correct. So EHOME players got the full $50,000 that was promised.
