After losing hundreds of thousands over the last couple weeks to high profile players like Phil Galfond and Ilari "Ilari FIN" Sahamies, Blom went on a 48 hour tear over the weekend.
Blom won over $1 million of it from his recent nemesis Sahamies. On Saturday Blom won $420k, only to follow it up with a massive $1 million win Sunday, $726k coming from Sahamies again. Gavin "gavz101" Cochrane also contributed around $100k.
After being down $1.4 million on PokerStars for all of 2011 at one point, Blom now finds himself up over $1.7 million on the year at PokerStars. With this momentum and bankroll gain, Blom has successfully pushed his way up from $25/$50 through $50/$100 and now mainly $100/$200. Whether Blom can continue the climb to return to the nosebleed levels he once played on Full Tilt Poker has yet to be seen.
Sahamies, on the other hand, after gaining momentum in his game of late, gave most of it back and resumed his pessimism in his blog about his place in the game.
