Yesterday, ESL announced that a "fresh injection" would hit the WarCraft 3 scene.
It was over one year and nine months that the ESL hosted the WC3 International Premiership.
It was in February this year that Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen was crowned the winner of the ESL Major Series.
Since then, ESL struggled in getting enough player feedback and activity in even their Amateur Series. On February 8 this year, both the Clanwar Ladder and ESL Amateur Series were closed down due to too few participants.
The loyal WarCraft 3 mass has now only Chinese events as well as main pillars ESWC and World Cyber Games to lean on. Any sort of competition that can spark the interest in the greenskin's veins will surely be welcomed by the passionate but decreasing amount of WarCraft 3 followers.
