In a recent interview with Fragster.de, Hyu Sub "FoCuS" Eom talks abouy his rivalry with ReMinD, his goal for the future and the metagame.
The Korean Orc player FoCuS holds 28 ZOTAC Cup titles. That's eight less than Sung Sik "ReMinD" Kim, which is a gap FOCuS believes is imooss
ible to close.
- I think I won't be able to overtake him in Zotac wins. ReMinD still has a good team and good training conditions in China, because he can challenge a lot of people there. On the contrary, I don't have as good a team as him and I can only compete in the Zotac Cup, says FoCuS.He mentions his and ReMinD's acquaintance as respectful, but he would not say that they are good friends.
- We don't talk much when we don't play the game, but I respect him, he is a great progamer, says FoCuS. He also calls ReMinD the best Night Elf in the world, when asked on his practice regime.
- I don't practice much, but I practice every week with the best Night Elf in the ZOTAC Cup, says FoCuS and smiles.
No ESWC for FoCuS
The prefix YuRi next to his name is not a team as some have thought, it is actually the name of his girlfriend. Being teamless is something that FoCuS suffers from, as he will be unable to be funded to go to ESWC. But he says he has a good chance to qualify for the World Cyber Games.
On StarCraft 2 - "I try my best"
The stalwart Orc player is one of the Koreans that have sticked to the WarCraft 3 scene. Although, he mentions that he is trying to qualify for the GOMTV GSL tournaments.
- I still try my best for GSL, actually I'm playing both games. But I'm not that good in StarCraft yet, says FoCuS.
