Jaedong, who won the first game against Reailty, showcasing use of Queens against the "rookie" labeled Terran on Dante's Peak, was despite the win not very happy about his performance.
- I really was upset with my plays today. I was irritated while playing, and during the mid-point, I ended up playing it half heartily and I regret that. I was surprised by his counter attacks and, I didn’t have a perfect win so I think that’s why I made that expression, said Jaedong to Fomos.kr.
Light defeated fellow Terran player Mind in a 44-minute long game on La Mancha. Battlecruisers, valkyries, wraiths, tansk and the whole shebang gave the rather dull Terran mirror game tiny bits of spark. Light could in the end counter-attack with a battlecruiser armada of his own, and take home the first game of the series.
Even the winner himself felt the game was a snoozefest.
- Next time I hope our game will be more eventful filled with action, said Light to Fomos.kr.
- "I don’t think I play all that well, I should’ve taken the 12o’ clock position earlier in the game. I really wanted to win tonight, but my body just wouldn’t listen and that’s why the game lasted so long," said Light.
Zerg player Hydra defeated Stork in rather dominating fashion, rolling the Samsung KHAN Protoss over with mass hydras accompanied by lurkers. Stork could barely fend off the massive push as his psionic storm upgrade was heavily delayed. The hold-off was to no avail as Stork's following counter-attack was unable to budge the Zerg.
The league continues on Saturday, with FLaSh taking on Really.
