Negreanu in hunt at WSOPC-Rincon with 18 left

Daniel Negreanu publicly debated whether he would play the WSOP-Circuit Regional Championship at Rincon on his Twitter feed. He had played a tough match from his home in Las Vegas against Viktor "Isildur1" Blom in Sunday's Superstar Showdown and wondered if he wanted to buy in on Day 2 of the event near San Diego. That decision to play seems to have paid off as he currently sits in eigth with only 18 players remaining after a busy Day 2 of the event.

The $10k buy-in WSOPC Rincon Regional Championship drew just 98 players, creating a $950,600 prizepool.

The final 12 players make the money with first collecting $282,242 and a seat in the $1 million freeroll WSOPC National Championship.

Other notables remaining in the hunt are circuit tourney beast Dwyte Pilgrim, Scott Montgomery, Todd Terry, Ali Eslami and a red hot Tim West, having just won the 2011 Wynn Classic main event.
