In news that first emerged at the recent London-based International Gaming Exhibition, which is the largest business to business exhibition for the gaming world, PartyGaming has signed deals with one if not two major U.S. casino companies to provide software and expertise once the US regulates online poker.Ever since the departure of Gilbraltar-based PartyGaming from the U.S. in 2006 in the wake of the UIGEA, they have sought to return to the lucrative market. It appears that they have inked deals with one or two companies from amongst Boyd Gaming, MGM, Las Vegas Sands and Caesars.
Gaming analysts indicate that as U.S. states regulate on an individual basis, it will allow companies such as PartyGaming to either gain some of the licenses or be in a prime position to offer software and expertise to those that receive individual licenses. The US is the top online gaming market in the world.
PartyGaming paid heavily to settle with the US on prior transgressions and is eager to re-establish their presence in the US. Talk of shedding the secondary Ongame network in the face of the bwin merger demonstrate the focus and desire to maximize resources to full advantage.
