China E-Sports Premier League (CEPL) to host 3-months of Warcraft III.
RAGE eSports reports that it has received a direct invite to the new China E-Sports Premier League (CEPL). The new league is backed by an unprecedented sponsor: The People's Republic of China. The Chinese government will reportedly be featuring the tournament in all major media outlets including: State television, radio, and even the newspaper. The contestants will be housed in Beijing for the duration of the tournament. Aside from RAGE, three other teams have also received direct invites: World Elite, EHOME, and WeMadeFox. The remaining contestants will be determined through an extended qualifier. Although Warcraft III may be waning outside of China, the State sponsored CEPL is nothing short of a "cultural revolution."
