EG.IdrA interviewed

The bad boy of Starcraft II, zerg macro master and self professed cheese hater has recently talked with pcworld on several subjects, providing quite an entertaining interview to read.

Greg "IdrA" Fields, one of those love-or-hate players the Starcraft II scene has, is quite probably one of the best non-korean players as well, being able to stay in South Korea as a progamer for quite some time now now as part of the Evil Geniuses team. PC world caught up with him to ask him a few questions.

This time, IdrA talked about his life in Asia, his daily practice routine, FruitDealer and NesTea, TvZ and the two barracks bunker rush build, GSL, after-patch zerg balance, where he claims:

Right now you just have a lot of Protoss and Terran players whose results were inflated by the previous patches, and are now failing because they lost that crutch. So Zerg players appear to be having too much success relatively, but once Terran and Protoss players figure out the new state of the game, they'll do just fine.

The american zerg also believes korean players are already pulling ahead due to the known practice ethic they possess. Having qualified for his third consecutive open GSL tournament, he has been strengthening his ZvP and ZvZ for the tournament, probably keeping in mind the matches he lost against Liquid.Nazgul in MLG Dallas and his Blink Stalkers and the infamous GSL oGs.Zenio match, where a seemingly nervous IdrA went for a build Artosis taught him and a double overseer, speedlings combo from the korean zerg completely shut down IdrA. That and the huge amount of zerg players this time around in the GSL season three. For the full interview, click on the link below.
