Grubby, FoCuS share WCG group - Prediction

For the eighth time, WarCraft 3 is featured on the World Cyber Games. The group stage was drawn a while ago, here are the full groupings after the concluded qualifiers throughout the world.

Group A
Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen and Hyo Sub "FoCuS" Eom were drawn into group A, and are with their long list of achievements and recent form the top contenders to go through this group. Phil "LongWalk" Crawford and Nikita "Nicker" Pomadov should share the spot as underdogs, while Croatian player Antonio "RaZZorMan" Burazer would count as a huge upset should he take games off of the top dogs.

Group B
Group B is, just as group A, all about the Orcs. June "Lyn" Park and Weilang "Fly100% Lu should have no difficulties advancing to the playoffs in this player pool. While Aleksandar "Padash" Tarbuk did reach the playoffs last year (only to lose against InFi 2-0), there is slim chance of the Night Elf to even rattle Lyn or Fly's cages.

Group C
Kim Sung "ReMinD" Sik and Xiang "TH000" Huang would both probably have hoped for easier opponents, as both Heinrich "S.o.K.o.L" Rennert and Thomas "ThomasG" Glinski can both carry their weight and grab games off of even the best. Nonetheless, the Asians carry the favorite stamp, and anything but a playoff position would be a disappointment.

Group D
Group D is probably the most open group, where Dmitriy "Happy" Kostin and Zhuo "TeD" Zeng are ahead of Valentin 'Majestic' Kosorovcev mostly due to their offline experience. Should the Ukrainian can hold his nerves in shape, group D is an open story where any of the three hold chances to pull through.
