To help boost STX chances at winning their match against SKT in the SPL playoffs, players from rival teams, Samsung and eSTRO, were at STX's house to help them train. This is to ensure that players from all teams that would have a better gaming environment compared to playing on battle.net or practicing with A or B teamers. Janbi, Brave, Juni, and Chavi from Samsung joined Really, Classic, and Action from eSTRO to boost STX with fresh and S-Class blood for Proleague Playoffs. Stork helped as well, but through battle.net.
STX’s head coach Kim said:
- "We tried a lot of practice methods, and helped them get accustomed to the different styles from different players. We're practicing with other teams' players. It’s a hard request, but these teams still accepted it, which makes us very grateful. Especially the Samsung and eSTRO players, they came to our house to practice. Practicing online can’t compare to the effect that this will have, it will be great."
In the STX house, the reporter saw Jangbi, and he said
- "If we’re going to help, we might as well come. This method will probably help STX even more." Coach Kim joked: "These players are great, I'll be sorry to let them go after this ends!"
This was a bold approach, but the desired result was not achieved since STX didn't defeat the SK T1 and left on the second day. Although this has never happened before, there is always time for a first. With this we may soon see a new trend emerging in the StarCraft elites.
