Proleague Semi-Finals; SK Telecom1 vs STX Soul

With SK Telecom T1 just squeezing by CJ Entus a few weeks back, and handily beating Wemade FOX. They’re now set to take on STX Soul, though can they keep the streak alive to face KT Rolster in the Grand Finals?

What could be the final proleague is underway, speculations about StarCraft 2 taking over are high but the popularity of Broodwar is unprecedented. If it were to be the last, it will have a playoff worthy of being the final one. SKT hasn’t had an easy path to make it to the semi-finals; they had to take on Skyhigh and Effort with CJ behind them. This took three days, two aces and almost every game was able to go either way. After the harsh challenge they moved onto Wemade FOX, who went down fast the first day and brought the second day to an ace match. Though Bisu was able to come through for SKT and they were ready to continue the long road to the finals.

Jump to last night, day 1 of a potential 3 day set against STX Soul. For those unfamiliar of how the setup works, each day is a best of 7 and the entire set is best of 3. Would SKT be able to continue their streak, having only lost a day to CJ so far or would STX be able to take down the powerhouse team?

In what was a very interesting mix of games, SKT was able to come out on top 4:3 over STX. If you’re looking for any games to watch, S2 vs hero was probably one of the better matches with hero having one of the highest apm in progaming history.

The second night of a potential three gets underway tonight at 13:00 KST, 6:00 CET or midnight EST. Check back here on GosuGamers.net for live updates of the games as they happen.
