Merlini bids farewell

One of the most popular names in DotA, Merlini, decided to take a back-seat on competitive DotA just before ESWC. Now, he comes out and bids a final farewell to all his fans and former teammates who have supported him throughout his time in DotA, saying goodbye to DotA once and for all.

Undoubtedly one of the best players ever to grace the DotA scene, Merlini has definitely made his mark. Best known for his triple kill with Zeus as seen on YouTube, he has inspired many to strive to be a better player. But now, Merlini will be but all a legend as he formally announces his retirement from the DotA scene in a blog post done on myMYM.com.

In his blog post, Merlini shares with the public some of his fondest memories during his DotA career as well as some memories that he'd rather forget. His fondest memories include winning DreamHack 2007, his relationship with IceFrog and Farm 4 Fame 2.0. In his lowlights, he raises the question on the loyalty of DotA fans all around the world, challenging them to be more loyal to the team they support.
