SKT T1 team announced that their players - Hyuk, Fantasy and Bisu will not take part in the OSL Group Ceremony. The reason why they decided to take that step is that the SKT T1 team wants to focus on the preparations to the Shinhan Bank Proleague 09/10 Ro6 Playoffs, which is more important and valuable for the team. This resulted in a wave of criticism and discontent from both other teams and the StarCraft community. The negotiations started.
CJ Entus, SKT T1's opponent in the playoffs has two players in the OSL Round of 16 - Effort and Hydra and they are without a doubt the core of their team and are very likely to be used during the Playoffs. If these two teams would decide to withdraw their players the OSL competition would consist of 11 players only. The CJ's decision was uncertain.
The SKT T1 Secretary Man-Soo Jo explained that the one and only reason of his team's move is the priority of preparations to the ProLeague Playoffs. Teams receive maps only two day before the matches' start and it's a wrong step to exclude three foreground players from trainings, especially since his team fought very hard to get the chance. Man-Soo Jo said that he talk with OSL organizers on the possibility of rescheduling the Ceremony.
Being under the pressure and as a result of negotiations the organizer decided that the Ceremony will be held on July the 21st, 5 days later than originally planned and after the Playoffs.
