As one can see from the groupings, all teams have been evenly seeded. Each group consisting of two top tier teams and two low tier teams. One can also see that Group D will be the Group of Death, with the top Asian teams, EHOME from China and Nirvana.my from Malaysia competing to get into the next group stages. Besides that, one of the oldest DotA teams around, TeG is also placed in Group D along with the host nation's team, Tribal.fr.
Another interesting match up we will see is between AeonSport and MYM who have both been placed in Group A. Who can ever forget the rivalry between Maelk and hyhy? Being unable to attend SMM last year, will ESWC be the event where Maelk gets his revenge on hyhy? Only time will tell.
