The 2010 Blizzard Writing Contest

The 2010 Blizzard Global Writing Contest has begun, as Blizzard calls fans from across the world to unleash their creative writing skills for a chance at amazing prizes, and even a trip to Blizzard HQ!

If you feel like you have what it takes to write a short story, then unleash your creativity and let your imagination run wide because the Blizzard Global Writing Contest is back! This year Blizzard has opened up opportunities for fans across the world to win a trip to Blizzard Headquarters in sunny southern California and to chill with the Blizzard writing staff.

Contest Rules:

-Contest period: June 23, 2010 to August 23, 2010 11:59 PST
-Story must be based around the Warcraft, Starcraft, or Diablo franchise.
-Between 2,500 and 7,500 words
-Must have a title
-1 entry per person
-All submissions must be in .DOC format

Prizes:
Grand Prize: Trip to Blizzard's Headquarters in southern California, where you'll meet and eat with the Blizzard writing staff. Along with a Diablo III "OVERTHROWN" barbarian diorama, or a Forstmourne sword.

Runner-ups: Seven runners-up will each receive a prize package of the Diablo Archive, the Warcraft Archive, the StarCraft Archive, and the Warcraft: War of the Ancients Archive, all signed by Chris Metzen, the cover artists, and Blizzard's writing staff.
