WinTeR talks about ESWC and MUFC's future

It was just recently that MUFC defeated Nirvana.My 2-1 to claim their slot at ESWC Paris 2010. GosuGamers managed to catch up with the captain of Team MUFC for an interview regarding the team and their plans.

Hi there WinTeR, could you give a quick introduction of yourself to the community?
-"Hi my name is Chan Litt Binn. I go by the alias WinTeR when i am playing most of my official matches. I am turning 21 this year and will be completing my degree next year."

First off, congratulations on taking first place for the Malaysia ESWC Qualifiers. So was there any special strategies prepared for this event?
-"Yes definitely, we had many strategies prepared. One of them that we used was during our match against Nirvana.My in the winner bracket finals. It was the one with Stealth Assassin and it failed. Haha. We were suppose to take lion but Nirvana.My had picked it so we chose Shadow Priest instead and it did not work out well."

Was Lion such an important hero that it caused the strategy to fail?
-"Yes, Lion was a rather important hero. Without Lion, there was no other hero to start engages for us. With Lion being picked by Nirvana, it was very troublesome for our Stealth Assassin as the Lion could easily pick SA off in countless situations with his high burst damage."

So after losing to Nirvana.My at the winner bracket final, what were the feelings and thoughts of your team when they had to face Nirvana again in the Grand Finals?
-"We were still confident in our abilities to win as we opted to go for something different in the next two games against Nirvana.My. We drafted pushing and ganking strategies rather then using weird strategies as we could not afford to lose any more games. I really recommend all the DotA players out there to watch the replays of the Grand Finals. The two games were really good games."

So now you have secured a slot for ESWC Paris, so what are the preparations that will take place prior to the event?
-"We will decide about that after this week when we figure out and settle all the sponsorship issues. We are currently looking for a sponsor to send us to Paris. If there are any parties out there that are interested, kindly contact us at [email protected]. Any sort of help would be greatly appreciated by our team."

The list of teams taking part in ESWC Paris 2010 has been released and I am sure you had an opportunity to take a look at the list. What are your thoughts about the invited teams?
-"Yea, I have seen the list and I think that some of the teams that are not on the list deserves to be invited. Overall I think the teams at are participating will make the event very exciting."

What are couple of teams do you think deserves to be on that list?
-"Hmmm that is a hard question as many teams deserve the golden opportunity to attend the event but personally I would like to see LGD.SGTY, TEAM HOME and Nirvana.CN being able to take part in ESWC Paris."

So what do you think of all the teams that are attending? Do you think that the Asian teams will be able to prove that they are better than European teams now that they are in a European country?
-"I feel that all the teams are really great who would want to take this opportunity to prove themselves. As for the Asian teams proving that they are better, it will be hard for them as there are only a few Asian teams taking part. Hopefully this will be answered after the tournament."

Judging by recent results, name five teams that have high chances of winning the event.
-"Hmmm. I think AEON, EHOME , NV.INT , DTS and MUFC are the five teams with high chances of winning."

Those are really strong teams. In your honest opinion, which team do you think will win?
-"Woah tough question. I feel every team has a chance to win. It all comes down to who plays better when it matters the most."

Do you feel that your team is ready to try their best to win ESWC Paris? What would be the lineup for MUFC?
-"We are definitely ready. If we can secure our sponsorship, our main lineup would be Koy(Taiwan boy), SIlvercross, RedhotRay, DjSharky and myself, TechWinTeR."

That looks like a very strong lineup. So what are the plans for MUFC after ESWC?
-"We plan to give our best in all the tournaments we join and make our main boss Mr Jerry Kok proud after all this time with his support for us by being at most of our training sessions and LAN tournaments."
