Daegu, Korea to host 2010 IeSF Grand Final

Daegu EXCO to host the 2010 IeSF Grand Final.

The International e-Sports Federation (IeSF) will have its tournament return in 2010. Korean media reports today that Daegu, Korea will be the host of the grand final.

Last year's tournament was played in Taebaek, Korea which held 150 participants from 20 countries. The WarCraft 3 disciple was won by Hao "suhO" Su after defeating Hyeong Ju "Check" Lee in the final.

2008 was won by June "Lyn" Park after playing Jae Ho "Moon" Jang in the final.

The invited players are based on the nations included in the IeSF. Current nations included on the poorly updated website are: Korea, Vietnam, Chinese Taipei, Singapore, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Spain, Bulgaria, Romania and South Africa.

Nations pending to join (as say their website) are: China, Japan, India, Indonesia and Malaysia.

It has yet to be undisclosed which game disciples will be played. The 2009 event had WarCraft 3, FIFA and A.V.A., while 2008 had WarCraft 3 and Sudden Attack.

Daegu are also the host city for the 2011 World Championships in Athletics. The city also hosted three matches in the 2002 FIFA World Cup. The venue for the IeSF 2010 event will be Daegu Exhibition and Convention Center (EXCO).
