The future for nation wars in StarCraft: Brood War looks dark, and the finals between Chile and Poland could be the last chance to crown a winner of the nations outside Korea, and it happens tonight at 21:00 CET.
Poland has been doing very well in Nation War League, taking down Canada 4-1 in the first round of the play-offs, and went through the group stage, losing almost not a single game. In the semi-finals they would however meet a tougher opponent, Romania, who managed to take two games from Poland. Poland still managed to win the nation war 3-2, but it showed they are not unbeatable.
Chile had a tougher competition in their group, fighting for the play-off spots with Czech Republic, USA A, Peru A and Bulgaria A to mention the biggest threats. Though they managed to move on to the play-offs. In the first round they had to win on a walkover against Germany who has moved on to StarCraft 2, but they had a tough fight against Hungary in the semi-finals, and in the end won with a 3-2 score.
