Baja talks about The Gathering

Tribal international's star player, Baja recently gave an interview with German organization, Competo-Sports. During the interview, Baja talked about his time in Norway for The Gathering and how he thinks the event was organized. Read on for a small extract of the interview.

You and your team have been on “The Gathering” a few days ago. How was the atmosphere there?

-Whole Norway part is to be forgotten from the techical problems that were present the whole LAN, to the terrible organisation, which in the end even said that the prizes will be cut in half.

It was said, that the prizemoney has been lowered because there haven’t been enough teams. What do you think about this statement? Is it just a fake?

-Yeah I do! The problem couldn't possibly be any more stupid than it is. As the dota tournament was a BYOC-LAN (bring your own computer) and whole BYOC part on The Gathering was sold out, it doesn't matter at all, if there are 64 or only 4 teams for the DotA competition as they made maximum amount of cash anyway. Besides that they didn't give a DotA's part of money to some other game, they just took it away from DotA and put into their own pockets.

Many DotA Players such as Lacoste and KuroKy told in interviews that they are waiting for prizemoney. Are you still waiting for some prizemoney as well? If yes, which is missing?

-Lacoste got his share from Dreamhack Winter 09 like 10 days ago, as we did. I am still waiting for the money from The Gathering, which I really doubt I will even get and I am waiting for the prizemoney from Dota-League Pick League season 12. It should come shortly. I want to shoutout to Beast_Pete's tournaments as they pay out prizes within two weeks after they are finished.
