The upper bracket final between WeMade FOX and MeetYourMakers ended in a close 4-3 win for the Korean progaming stable. SocceR and LucifroN shared one point each in singles round, while Lyn made sure FOX took the lead by two by defeating ReMinD.
After a two-point win for the MYM duo in the team game, SocceR was once again placed in the limelight when he beat ReMinD in the ace match.
Notable was that the Night Elf superstar Jae Ho "Moon" Jang only played the team matches leaving the singles to SocceR and June "Lyn" Park.
Devils win the lower bracket final
MeetYourMakers, surely having their mind set on more than a third place, went on to the lower bracket final to outplay a Serious Gaming who lacked their star Undead player Hjalmar "DowaQ" Högberg. Kim Sung "ReMinD" Sik two-zeroed Nikolaus "SonkiE" Cassidy while LucifroN went even-steven with viOlet in an Orc mirror match.
A clean 2-0 win was needed for the Serious Gaming duo to force an ace match, but a win on Gnoll Wood (second game) for MYM made it clear we would see a rematch of the upper bracket final.
MeetYourMakers takes the first round...
MeetYourMakers had to, as per custom, had to win two rounds in order to claim the first place. The first round started out in a very convincing manner for the Makers.
The first round ended in a win for MYM when ReMinD defeated Lyn 2-0 as well as a 2-0 win in the 2on2. SocceR, who seemed undefeatable that weekend, took another 2-0 scalp against LucifroN.
...but still ends second place
The final round had SocceR giving up his 2on2 spot to Lyn, but kept on killing Orcs in the single match, once again LucifroN. Lyn and ReMinD took a point off each other which made the team match deciding. MYM won the first game on Gnoll Wood, but Lyn and Moon would finish the epic series on Gold Shire to put WeMade FOX in the lead with 4-2.
