NGL-ONE shows sign of life, offline finals set

When the NGL-ONE finals will kick off on April 24, it will be the last event of the league.

After a regular season with 24 players from all over the world, eight players qualified for the offline finals taking place in Berlin, Germany.

Out of the eight players, only seventh-seeded Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen comes outside of Asia.

Regular season winner June "Lyn" Park is one of the five Koreans, which together with the two Chinese players Zhuo "TeD" Zeng and Huang "TH000" Xiang fill up the participant list.

The generous prize pool holds $17,500 dollar, of which the winning player receives $8,000.

According to the press release, this will be the last NGL-ONE WarCraft 3 event.

Rumours had it the event was abandoned when nothing was heard from the administration after the regular season finish in October 2009. With the offline finals, the event will have the suiting finish it deserves.
