TheShit! pulls through

It is that time again folks; the F4F2.4 finalists have been decided. The players are refreshed, the playing pieces are set, but the question remains; who will be the victor?

THESHIT!

Since their founding, TheSHIT! has been an unpredictable side. Like the French rugby team, TheSHIT! either gets taught a lesson or, if they can pull together, can even topple the biggest teams. This F4F leg has been a solid and pleasing performance from the side, especially in overcoming the power house Blight.int, now Nirvana.int. Their next match was also a tough one, playing against Tribal.int who have gone from strength to strength this season. Their semi-final could be said to have been the easiest of their games, where they beat DIPSARNA in quick succession.

DIPS went with a very "team fight" orientated lineup. From the get go it could be seen that they would be relying on DK to farm up and then allow his splash damage to destroy the other team while they were held in place by the disabling abilities of Puck, Enigma and Witch Doctor. That being said, they're team is also a good pushing side, with DK being able to take down towers in a matter of seconds.

The pivotal pick here for TheSHIT! was Necrolyte. He would be able to tank the Sentinel's super combo and then heal his team. Apart from DK, the Sentinel's heroes were very fragile and therefor easy pickings for Scourge's gank side, with SK, Sven and PoTM get a number of kills. While the Sentinel were forced to play it safe due to the Scourge's ganking power, Pugna was able to obliterate their towers. Coupled with a solid PotM from Papa Dray, a well farmed Necro by 13aby and poor play from Puck, DIPS was out picked, out farmed and out played.

Synderen gave Forget-gaming.se a statement afterwards regarding facing DDT in the final:

-"We're excited about it. We've had some scrims against them, and I'd be lying to say they aren't playing tremendously well. It'll be a huge challenge, they're really good, perhaps better than people think, so it'll be a very tough match."

DDT

EnotHome, or DDT as they are now known, had an even more difficult run to the final. They faced the on form DTS.Chatrix, who have now flourished with LoH playing carry roles and Dendi growing in experience and maturity each game. This came at a time when EnotHome were down and out in terms of their fans' faith in them, but this win would have surely boosted their team spirit. Next they faced the ever formidable MCiTY, who have never been able to achieve the same success online as they do at LANs. Needless to say, DDT triumphed. In the semi-finals they were up against former Aeon.ru, TheRetry, who have also been performing very well, with Azen fitting nicely into the side.

Ducky, one of the best European support players, picks broodmother? If you were confused by this, don't be alarmed, because a majority of the community was. However, DDT tried something completely out of the norm here. Having sensed that PGG would be solo'ing bot with DS, Ducky played broodmother as a support role in the lane, focusing on lane control. Due to the invisibilty and HP regen that his web provides, Ducky was able to harass PGG and allow tinker to gain somewhat 3-4 levels on him as PGG was not allowed anywhere near the creeps.

Very clever by DDT indeed.

This threw TR's game completely out of sync. Aided by Enigma in the bush, SK was able to hold his own against the very powerful CM/Panda lane. Misery played very intelligently again Sven/PotM, avoiding numerous ganks. Loda used teleport ganks very effectively, using his early game power to pick off the Scourge's heroes. Most of TR's players' performance was disappointing, yet Azen still proved he has one of the best PoTM's out there, even though he was fighting a losing battle. In general, TR's map coordination was pretty poor and in 30 minutes, Sentinel had overwhelmed them and the game was over.

So, there it is. This will be a much anticipated final, featuring two teams who have been performing extremely well and both wanting to prove that Nirvana.int isn't the only powerhouse out there. That being said, DDT would have to be the favourites for this game, syncing well together and out playing their opponent thus far. Then again, this tournament is known for it's upsets.

The date for the final has not yet been finalised, but stay tuned for GosuGamers for coverage of the match. And don't forget to place your GOSUBET and win yourself some delicious tangoes.
