MSC 2024: Selangor Red Giants head into day 104 without a loss

Fire Flux Esports found themselves with a huge mountain to climb at MSC 2024, as they went head-to-head against Selangor Red Giants.

We had reached the Playoff Stage of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup 2024 from the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and with that we would begin to see more teams losing their tournament lives. With eight teams remaining as we began the first day of action, today we would see two eliminated – with Falcon Esports being the first to exit at the hands of Liquid Echo. Following this, Selangor Red Giants would take on Fire Flux Esports.

SRG keep the streak going

As the only non-Southeast Asian team left in MSC 2024, FF had a massive uphill battle in their path as they entered the Playoffs – taking down the Malaysian champions who were on day 103 since their last defeat in a full series. While many expected a one-sided affair, these two teams were never going to allow that, and we witnessed a magnificent full five-game series. Both teams went game-for-game, with neither backing down and turning the tides on one another whenever possible.

When it came down to a decisive game five, both teams picked some fantastic heroes, but it was SRG that managed to grab the Harith and Roger – both picks that have been extremely hit-or-miss throughout the tournament so far. However, when the dust had settled, SRG was able to cruise through the final game, continuing their immense win streak through to 104 days and moving forward at MSC 2024.

With that, unfortunately for the Turkish Fire Flux Esports, their MSC 2024 came to an end after a fantastic showing – especially in their singular playoff series. On the other side of the coin, Selangor Red Giants march onwards, still flying the MY flag high as they move into the semi-finals where they will face either NIP Flash or their regional brethren, HomeBois, who will be in action tomorrow, July 11th.
