An intense first week of MPL ID Season 10 action saw some big plays and big results, but no upsets were recorded beyond a single game.

Geek Fam may be one of the teams in the Mobile Legends Professional League in Indonesia that we never really think about too much. The team have struggled for some time to break the top echelons and with their first series being against the reigning champions, it was unlikely this season. However, one big change for the squad saw the addition of Baloyskie from the Philippines, bringing in an entire new dynamic to the team. With that said, the team did not manage to outright beat RRQ Hoshi, but they showed everyone that they can get complacent – as GF beat them down in game one. This was the only series of Week 1 that went to three games, and it shows that anything is possible.
Unfortunately for GF, this was the highlight of their first week back, as they dropped to Alter Ego the next day, while Rebellion Zion keep them company at the bottom of the group with two losses of their own.
Aura Fire get themselves off to a solid start, winning their only series for the week by dominating EVOS Legends, who were hoping to take a double victory after trouncing the Robots earlier in the week. However, without Antimage, it was clear that the team were still working their way back up.
All-in-all it was a rather uneventful first week for MPL ID Season 10, with the only real high point being Geek Fam’s single game victory over RRQ. We will definitely be looking closely at the teams which have included PH players in the coming weeks, as well as the meta – which has seen some interesting changes across the regions.
