Northrend League is the name of a new league. The name of the league simply tells us that it's going to be played on Northrend, and is mostly made for European teams.
What this league brings you that many other leagues do is a prize pot. The winner of the league will get a total of 1000 Swedish kronor, which is ~110 EUR or ~143 USD. The league will consist of eight teams in total, but the league will also have a qualification round with a maximum of 24 teams.
Even though, as mentioned above, the league is mostly made for European teams, players from all countries are allowed to participate, but need the awareness of the time and delay issues. Important is also that the organization of the team itself has to be based in Europe. All players participating in the league, however, must be at age 15 years or older. Here is a short snippet from the rules in the league:
All teams that participate at N-League agree to and comply with the rules of N-League. All players participating at N-League must be 15 years old or older.
Teams participating at N-League agrees to a non-disclosure policy, meaning that a team or player may not disclose internal discussions, decisions and communication protocols. Teams/players that violate the non-disclosure policy will receive penalty points and may become suspended or banned from the league.
All teams must be located in a European country and should recognize that all stated days and times mentioned refers to Central European Timezone (CET = GMT+1).
A team must consist of four players minimum.

The sign up is right now open, and will be open all the way to 31st of January. The sign up process is quite simple, as you can just go ahead to the sign up page on their homepage and simply fill out the form, and pray for you being one of the teams being picked out.
metaru, head admin of the league, tells us that the teams will be picked trough how serious they appear in their application. It's, obviously, also based on the skill of the team, and what the team or players achieved so far. So for all you out there that's interested, head to the sign up page as fast as possible and sign up!
