Natus Vincere show dominance over EnVyUs at DreamHack Masters: Malmö

Dust2 has been the playground for GuardiaN ever since. His crazy AWP can be utilized all over the place, and after having been unable to play ever since the major nobody really knew what to expect from him. As the former best team on Inferno, EnVyUs must have had high hopes for their matchup on this map, even more considering that it is one of the weaker maps for the CIS team. On Cobblestone, the decider map, it was not that clear cut who would likely advance from there out, so the outcome of the match was kept fairly open.

EnVyUs start as terrorists.
EnVyUs started off strong with the pistol round, but were unable to follow up going into the rifle battle. With Na'Vi taking over the next two rounds, the French were sent into an eco to tie up the game 3-3 pretty quickly again. As the French were gifting themselves to GuardiaN, they had to force-buy once again but with Edward overextending they were able to rush down the B defence to surprisingly take over the round. But karma struck back, as an overextension by apEX meant a round loss for nV again.

Na'Vi were able to get onto a 11-4 lead, which was bound to be diminished after Happy took over the second pistol round in a tense 1v1 clutch. Unfortunately they were unable to follow up with the gun round, as kennyS and apEX messed up on B. Natus Vincere were further gifted rounds as the French constantly overextended and brought themselves in highly unfavourable situations. The key fundamentals were just not working out for them, as players were trying to go solo all over the place and basics such as pop-flashes for teammates were missing. 16-7 did not really present the full picture, as EnVyUs clearly were inferior in every single aspect.

EnVyUs start as terrorists.
Inferno was much needed as the map for EnVyUs to bounce back on. After that demeaning match on Dust2, hopes and expectations were set considerably high for the French to bring a good show this time. Unfortunately, the pistol round went to show how much Na'Vi were present on the server and simply unwilling to drop the match, not even giving EnVyUs the opportunity to fully leave their spawn. Without much ado, the CIS quad set themselves on a 8-2 lead early on.

Natus Vincere just looked prepared, and EnVyUs pretty much seemed lost. A 16-2 ended this match and put Na'Vi into the Grand Finals!
