The United Kingdom Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) set a new record for most poker players in a UK based tournament of 1,058 for their £500 UKIPT Nottingham main event over two starting days at the Dusk Till Dawn poker club to significant out do the previous UK attendance record of 848 set at the 2010 EPT London main event.The tournament drew players from 30 different countries, including some notables from the UK poker scene, Dave Colclough, Liv Boeree, Jude Ainsworth and Vicky Coren.
By Sunday night the field was whittled down to just twelve with Mike Hill holding the overnight lead.
They will crown a winner in Nottingham Monday.
