Like most of us know TL placed 9th this spring in LCS. By all means this was historic underperformance in NA LCS. This got me wondering what has been biggest disappointment in League history.
Personally I don't think that single match loses aren't comparable for whole tournament which would rule out games like ALL vs KBM or EDG vs INTZ.
Here are some of the same level disappointing performances from different teams in different parts of history.

Samsung Ozone at S3 Worlds. This also gave us the infamous Dade Award.

LGD at S5 Worlds. EDG had just won MSI and LGD was front runner with SKT to win Worlds.

G2-8 at S6 MSI. LEC came to MSI expecting good performance after OG and FNC made semis at Worlds and FNC was able to beat LPL and LCS representatives at IEM Katowice.

GenG at S8 Worlds. GenG came to Worlds as defending champions and had made finals 2 years in row. Was not as favoured as LGD was coming to Worlds, but had worse score going 1-5.

FW at LMS S9 summer. Fall of LMS power house going from MSI to 6th place (2nd last).
