Just a fun fact I noticed while browsing Leaguepedia. As you can see here, IG currently holds the Unofficial World Champion title after defeating TOP yesterday. That means either IG or JDG, the two LPL finalists, will be attending MSI as the Unofficial World Champion (and in the case of IG, as both official and unofficial world champion).
In fact, the last non-LPL team that held the title was Fnatic at the last MSI. Ever since RNG beat them in MSI groups, the title has stayed in the LPL. So after a full year, the Unofficial World Champion title is returning to MSI and up for contention for international teams again!
