Last year there were 3 regions that were automatically placed into the group stage based on overall international success (LCK, LPL*, EU), and the rest would have to go through Play-Ins. However, now that Vietnam will have their own separate regional team to play at MSI, the entire bracket is broken. In order to fix this problem, there will now be 4 teams seeded into the group stage, and guess who qualifies to be next in line for it: It's North America baby.
