The January Road map champion tease is pretty loaded with clues once you really look at it. For a point of reference lets look at the January Champion Roadmap which includes Zoe's teaser.
we’ve redirected (Zoe's Q) some time to creating a new burst mage with the tools to approach a fight from… interesting angles (Zoe's R). We also wanted to take this chance to do something a bit more playful (Zoe's persona) and bubbly (Zoe's E) as opposed to the dark and serious champions we’ve done recently. We are then presented with a picture showing several bubbles with butterflies trapped within.
The author of the post uses heavy word play that suggests alot about what the unknown (at the time) champion has to offer. On top of that, We are then presented with a picture showing butterflies encased in a magical girly looking bubbles which is basically Zoe's E in action.
So after hearing that the January Roadmap also has a champion teaser, I was pretty excited to play detective yet again. That being said lets dive right in.
Like most people presented with a bunch of words and a pretty picture on a page, The first thing I devoted my attention to was the picture posted smack dab in the middle of the entry.
At first the picture looks kinda vague and I thought It could just be a picture of the champions origins, Kinda like showing a battlefield in chaos when teasing a Noxian Chief commander champion in action or something like that.
But after closer inspection, There seems to be some sort of statue representing a fox like creature. Also their seems to be some weird Void connection going on with the thingy on the right. Here is a link with a picture I used to help explain
Off this Picture Alone and the focal theme of the champion being more high risk playstyle, my bold prediction is that this is going to be a human-like (maybe with some animal traits) Void ADC that can transform into a high mobility assassin-like void creature that is good at locking and hunting down a target even if it means going balls deep.
Now Zoe's teaser actually revealed alot about her kit so Lemme try and highlight some points from the article that might give a better understanding of what his/her/its kit could look Like. Heres some parts of the teaser entry....
we discovered something that’s been null from our roster for a long time: a super high-risk, high-reward marksman, in the vein of well… Vayne.
we locked onto a marksman that rewards players who aren’t afraid to hunt for the perfect opportunity, no matter where it takes them. This new champion’s best players will go deep into enemy territory and thrive
Off of these Clues and the picture provided my for sure guess is that the champion going to have an ultimate that transforms itself into a melee void creature. But what else?
The word Null was used earlier in the post and im pretty sure its there for good reason the definition of Null is, having no legal or binding force; invalid. Which leads me to believe that the in this void form, the creature will rather be immune to damage or CC temporarily.
The word Vein was also used however with this one I'm kinda confused on. My closes theory is based on the fact that one definition of the word Vein is, a fracture in rock containing a deposit of minerals or ore and typically having an extensive course underground. Also, in the picture provided their is a huge rift in the ground with void aura emitting from under it.
Therefore I believe the champion will have some way to create cracks in the ground which will help lock on and hunt their target (maybe increased movespeed?)
On the other Hand, Just like a Veins in our bodies, the picture shows one long stream flowing from the statue to the void creature and also features several branching out void.....thingys but that's too vague to make any game play statements off of so idk.
Theres alot more to theorize about on this champ, most adcs have a passive steroid so maybe this one will too. For all we know maybe this champ will be like nidalee and have more than 4 abilities and a transformation with a low CoolDown.
Feel free to share your own thoughts and Observations. Im pretty hyped for a new ADC that can go deep in the fray. Also Scarra did say this new champ is sick AF so I can't wait xD.
