Ashe lied to her people so that they would follow her and name her Queen.

Swain's rework gave us many special interactions. One that really stood out are his words to Ashe.

*[Ashe 0:30] >She claimed it was the Frost Queen's Grave. They believed her... *

This quote is probably one of the most interesting and lore-bending. In the lore, Ashe wants to unite the Freljord tribes and is hunted by her own people for this. While running through the woods, a hawk takes her to a large stone relic of the ancient Queen Avarosa. There, she finds a magic bow and uses it to easily kill her assassins. Using this bow as proof of Avarosa's will, she seeks to unite the Freljord tribes and make peace.

Swain's quote about this seems to be implying Ashe lied about finding Avarosa's grave. People rallied behind Ashe in large part due to her finding Avarosa's bow by 'fate'. Ashe could have lied about this knowing it would convince MANY people to join her because afterall, Avarosa was the Frost Queen who united the lands many many years ago, and Ashe wants to do the same.

I think this is really interesting in the lore because it means the heroic Ashe manipulated her people, even though she had good intentions.

Swain seems to be able to gather peoples' "memories" when he steals souls with his passive, so I see no other reason as to why he would say this quote.
