Griffin are sitting at the top of the LCK table after a dominating run for the first half of the season. And now they're about to get more of a reward than just first place.
Despite being a team created entirely of rookie players, Griffin stand above their veteran LCK competitors with an impressive 8-1 match record. Griffin have won all but one of their LCK matches, beating some of the league's best teams including KINGZONE Dragon X, Gen.G, and Afreeca Freecs along the way. The only team to have bested Griffin on Summoner's Rift is KT Rolster, who, alongside Afreeca are tied for fifth place, just barely in playoff contention.
