League of Legends Worlds qualifying 2017: How it works and who’s in

League of Legends’ biggest event of the year, the World Championship, is right around the corner, and with it, a whole host of teams vying for a spot at the illustrious year end tournament.

For almost every region, the representative(s) is chosen in one or all of these different ways. The first seed is the winner of the final split before worlds, the second seed is the non-winning team with the most Championship Points — which are earned based on where a team finished each split during the year — and the third seed is the team that wins their Regional Finals tournament which is hosted just before Worlds.
