CJ Entus: New beginning

Some of CJ Entus' familiar faces have split paths as they had a mediocre perfomance the previous season. Despite all of their history together, it seemed that bringing in new players was the only solution.

CJ Entus is a League of Legends franchise that was around for a very long time. They performed as Azubu Blaze and Azubu Frost, as the latter is more representative of the previous season's roster. Sang-Myeon "Shy" Park, Chan-Yong "Ambition" Kang and Minki "Madlife" Hong were central to the old roster. In the coming season, however, Shy and Madlife will continue supporting the new roster as pillars, while Ambition leaves to play for yet another famous team that has lost its glory, Samsung Galaxy.

Hosan "Space" Seon was, yet, another figure who has stayed in the team for quite a while but will take his leave. He had his greater days as a CJ Entus member, where he has performed early pentakills for the team in some occasions. Unfortunately, Space did lose his touch as an ADC. In fact, in an interview recently, Space confessed that his ability to both play and develop have dropped gradually at a point at which he wouldn't want to make his team suffer from his lack of skills. Hence, the once glorious ADC of CJ Entus took his leave from the team.

Now, in Korea, almost all contracts end around late November. Crazy transfers and player aquisitions took place everywhere after the date. Among them, we have Jin-yeoung "CoCo" Shin leaving for Longzhu IM. There were two factors I wanted to put into question. First, CoCo seemed to have a great relationship with the management. How did CoCo end up going for a team that has a lacking proof that they will succeed. Second, while bringing in CoCo and Sang-Hyun "Chaser" Lee is significant, what chance does IM have against many teams in Korea with solid bottom lanes.

Indeed, Longzhu IM is playing a money game, but is this the best that money can offer? Again, there is no doubt that the aquisition of both Chaser and CoCo are significant. However, I believe that the money was spent in a poor fashion, for Jong-Ik "Tusin" Pak was blooming as a jungler to be reckoned with and the aquisition for Chaser may have been unnecsessary. Jin-Sun "Pure" Kim, the new support player for IM, joined the team, but it seems lackluster without a solid ADC.

Speaking of ADC's, CJ Entus brought in a familiar face in Korea's solo queue world. Before we dive in any further, let us take a look at the new roster.

"Shy" Sang-myeon Park - Top
"Bubbling" Jun Hyung Park - Jungle
"Sky" Haneul Kim - Mid
"Kramer" Jong Hoon Ha - AD
"MadLife" Min-gi Hong - Support

You may have heard of Kramer. Actually, you've probably heard of Kramer a lot, if you were watching this year's Worlds. He was one of the most successful Korean import players in Taiwan. His prowess as an ADC was known throughout the Korean solo queue, while his professional resume looks extraordinary. With Kramer as the ADC, CJ Entus looks like it will go places (without CoCo).

Many high-tier solo queue players have openly quoted both Sky and Bubbling as strong players in the solo queue world. However, all that we can do at the moment is watch the players performing in the LCK.

Do you like the current roster? Do you think they are a serious contender for the LCK finals? Let us know what you think down below.
