Piglet back on Liquid's roster

Despite having lackluster results in the league, Gwang-Jin "Piglet" Chae will edge away Yuri" KeithMcBrief" Jew from Liquid's starting roster for this week at least.

Team Liquid are not in the best of places going into the penultimate week of the NA LCS. The team is currently tied for fifth at 7-7, meaning more losses could potentially cost Liquid the playoffs spot as Team 8 and Gravity Gaming are up there with the same score.

The fans who expected Liquid to do well due to the import of 2013 world champion Piglet (ex-SK Telecom) turned a critical gaze to the famed AD carry. Piglet is currently the worst AD carry in the league, statistically, at 2.67 KDA and fifth worst when it comes to GPM at 369.7. Piglet's inability to consistently carry Liquid to victories led to him being subbed out for Keith on an on-and-off basis and, at least look at the numbers, the American has been doing fantastically. Keith participated in five of Liquid's seven wins and is currently leading the ADC charts for KDA and average gold per game.

Regardless, Liquid have decided to run with Piglet for the remainder of the spring split or in total of four matches. Among other reasons, Liquid mention that the former world champion has been significantly improving in many areas.

[redquote1]This has been one of the most pressing and complicated issues we've had to handle, and we think that there is still no obvious answer. On the one hand, it is clear from an analysis of our comms that our in-game communication (rotational, strategic, objective, etc.) is currently superior with Keith. On the other hand, Piglet has shown that his laning, game sense and mechanics are more reliable. Additionally, Piglet is more available to practice - without any other commitments. Based only on our LCS results, it would seem clear that the team is in a better position to win our remaining four matches with Keith in the lineup. However, we must consider that many of these games had varying degrees of impact from our ADC. Lastly and I believe most importantly, we have seen significant improvement with Piglet - in many areas. We have decided we will usePiglet for Week 8 of LCS.
