Following in the footsteps of Korea, LPL will be adding a bit of spice to their playoffs with the very popular "blind pick" 5th game. However, LPL will also be implementing these for best-of-3's.
At the beginning of the split, China parted ways with the traditional BO1 format for the LPL and switched to Korean's BO2 format for the regular season. Now, they will emulate the way playoffs work as well. In the final game, neither team gets bans and can pick whatever they'd like, including champions that exist on the other team.
The playoffs begin on May 24th with OMG facing off against Invictus Gaming and World Elite against their rivals of Edward Gaming directly following.
