Velocity to receive all new roster

Velocity will release it's current roster and attempt to qualify for the Season Four Spring LCS with five new players.

Velocity eSports had the worst LCS record of any North American or European team in either the Spring or Summer Split, going 5-23 before the end of Season Three.  They struggled to fix internal roster changes, juggling mid and top laners in an attempt to find a good fit for the team and change their luck.  In the North American Challenger League, they continued to struggle to pull off victories, leading to an announcement from their manager, Brian "i am guitarCordry.

After frommaplestreet's departure yesterday, many wondered what other changes would come to Velocity eSports, and guitar revealed that the entire roster would receive fresh faces for the upcoming season.  In his statement, guitar explained the reasoning behind Ainslie "frommaplestreet" Wyllie's temporary stint as the mid laner, as well as Sean "Slackoh" Ricky Paul's decision to continue his schooling.  He also stated that he believes continuous losses have taken their toll on the current team and that Velocity and its starting members might best be served by separation.  He is proud of the individual skills and achievements of each Cris, Evaniskus, frommaplestreet, and NK Inc and vows to help them find homes on other competitive teams should they maintain a desire to play League of Legends professionally.

As of yet, the new Velocity eSports starting roster has not been announced, but he suggests the information will be released soon.  Velocity's manager closes by reminiscing on the success the team found in the pre-Summer Split challenger scene against the likes of Cloud9 and MRN and regrets that the roster could not maintain that success, insisting that is not the fault of any single member.

I feel like keeping any of them on the roster would send the message that I feel it’s the “fault” of the others for our lack of success when again, I don’t feel this way. We just haven’t been able to find success, and so we will be moving in a different direction to do so.

It is likely that fans will be able to watch Velocity's new lineup in the coming weeks in the North American Challenger League.
