Jason Kaplan expands on his departure from LCS

The American content producer who traveled to Germany to work for ESL and cast the League of Legends World Championship Series elaborates on his leave.

?Jason Kaplan tweeted earlier to his followers to tell them that he will not be casting in the Season 3 World Championships nor the next season of the EU LCS.  In this Facebook post, he's elaborated that the decision was not his own.  Instead, it was Riot's choice to not have him cast within the next season.

However, even though he won't be casting League of Legends, he is still hired by ESL and will, therefore, still be around to cast other games, broadening his game knowledge and expanding his horizon with a multitude of titles.  Here's an excerpt of the Facebook post:

Hey guys,

With what has happened recently I decided to explain the situation and explain my plans for the future. So lets get all the technical stuff out of the way. ESL was contracted by Riot to do Season 3 of LCS in Europe. This meant that Joe and I would be casting it alongside Deman and Qu1ksh0t with Sjokz hosting. Towards the end of the Summer Split I was informed that Riot wasn't interested in having me for Worlds or season 4. Since this is their show, I respect their decision to not include me for the next season. It was their call and I hope who ever does come in to replace me can make the community proud to be supporting LCS and the strides Riot has made in legitimizing eSports.
