No seed for Frost at season two finals

It was an unfortunate day for AZUBU Frost, who missed out on a seeding for the season two championship.

A bad day for the AZUBU organisation got a little bit worse this afternoon. After their most successful team, Blaze failed to qualify for the season two finals, Frost missed out on a seed in the random draw. The somewhat quirky format for the finals meant that five teams had to be seeded into four spots. RIOT's solution was to put the teams into a random drawing, and the last one out would have to go through the group stage. The other four, listed below, will go directly to bracket play for next month's finals.

United States Team SoloMid
Russia Moscow Five
China World Elite
Taiwan Taipei Assassins

The other eight qualified teams will be split into two groups of four, with the top two from each group progressing to the quarter-finals where they will meet up with the seeded teams.

The League of Legends Season Two World Championship begins on October 13.
