OGN has quickly become one of the most prestigious leagues in the League of Legends scene. So, it’s fair to say that CLG vs Frost was one of the most important matches in the recent month full of important matches. CLG got off an excellent start, making game one of the best-of-five series look almost easy. They took an early lead and rode it all the way home. By the end of the game they had a huge advantage and Frost simply surrendered.

Game two was much more of a grind and the passive play style really played into CLG’s favour. There were only a handful of big fights in the whole game and CLG took them all, which inevitably led to victory. Down 2-0, AZUBU Frost had to rally and they did. Frost was a little behind when they baited CLG into a fight around the Baron. The entire match turned in a few seconds, as the Koreans took the fight and managed to get back in the match at 2-1.

From there, the momentum was all in Frost’s favour. Game four was fairly close, but Frost were ahead for almost the entire game. It was close enough that they had to fight for the win but CLG were never always hanging in there – avoiding defeat rather than having much chance of victory. It came down to the final game, then. OGN’s baffling insistence on a blind pick ace match mean that the bottom lane featured Ezreal vs Ezreal, but Frost’s would come out on top. Again, they were on top throughout the game, although CLG kept it as close as they could. The Europeans were unable to finish off the game, and it was Frost who completed a hugely impressive comeback win. The global power of Shen and Karthus was just too much to handle in the deciding game, and Frost used them perfectly, earning a 3-2 victory.
