Xpecial: 'we will still come out strong at regionals'

SK Gaming spoke to Alex "Xpecial" Chu ahead of an important couple of weekends for North American LoL.

The next week will be an important time in the North American LoL scene, with MLG and US Regionals coming back-to-back. Even though TSM were invited directly to MLG, they chose to skip it in order to practice for the more important tournament. "We have been practicing hard for the past few weeks and have really stepped up our performance recently," Chu told SK. However, he admitted that he would like to be able to prepare for specific teams. "Any team that takes a top slot at Raleigh can take over 8th seed," he said. "It's impossible for us to predict who will be our first round opponent.""

For the team that most fans consider the best in America, it's no surprise that Xpecial expects to do well at the Regionals saying "we have been practicing hard for this and I expect to take a top three slot at the Regionals." But with the single elimination format, he didn't really know what to expect from the other teams. "I definitely feel that there will be upsets, I just hope my team is not involved in one of those," he said. As if getting to the season two finals wasn't motivation enough, the TSM player thinks that playing in America will give them an advantage to win the whole thing if they qualify. "Having home-court advantage is huge," he told SK. "Many teams often get jet-lagged and are unaccustomed to the area and this causes them to play significantly weaker."
