GosuGamers HoN Awards 2011: Best Team

We've reached the end of HoN's 2nd year since its official release. As usual, GosuGamers presents our annual awards to celebrate the honorable efforts of both teams and individuals that stood out in 2011. This is the 1st out of 5 articles showcasing the nominees of the 1st category - the best team.

Nominees for Best Team 2011:

Europe FnaticRaidCall [Fntc]

Last year's winners of this category are surely the favorites to take the award again for 2011. The stability of their roster throughout the year allowed them to consistently place on the podium in the vast majority of online events they decided to participate in. They also managed to defend their Dreamhack title twice this year and now have three consecutive trophies at the Swedish based LAN. The disappointing fourth place finish at the NASL Season 2 finals was an early sign of roster issues at the end of the year; however, it is undeniable that 2011 was another black-and-orange dominated year in HoN.

The fall of their organization just days before Dreamhack Winter had a severe impact on their performance there, but they somehow managed to get right back on track at the NASL LAN finals and take the silver medals.

They've won all the major LAN and online events on home soil, consistently place well in international events despite their ping disadvantage, and have shown what they're made of when they flew accross the globe to take second place at Dreamhack Winter, being the only team at the tournament that managed to take games off of Fnatic.
