Chu's team dominates at DEVASTATION 2011

Nobody could stop Chu and his team at the DEVASTATION 2011 LAN in Phoenix, Arizona this past weekend as they tore through the Heroes of Newerth tournament.

"Chu's team," as they were labeled, included Chu and YoDa from Team EZ, plus Milkfat, CakeS, and Lalond. As expected, they tore through the tournament and met the team led by CarDinaL in the finals. Chu's team took the series in a quick 3-0 victory, winning $3,000, while CarDinaL's team earned second place and $1,500.

The competition wasn't much to speak of, but the highlight of the event stream came afterwards when SUNSfan of GLHF Casting sat down with Chu for a brief interview.

Chu talked about Team EZ, DreamHack Winter, his experience with DotA 2, and paying out of his own pocket to attend this LAN. In the end, he said it was all worth it; he was there to have fun. And even though less than half of Team EZ was in attendance, getting practice at playing in a LAN setting is invaluable experience with two much larger events coming up - DreamHack Winter and the NASL Grand Finals.

I really want to finish up what I started.
- [EZ] chu
Chu acknowledged his loss in skill after switching back to Heroes of Newerth from League of Legends. He isn't playing DotA 2 right now because he is scared he will never come back. But if there are questions about his current dedication to HoN, Chu put them to rest at the end of the interview. "I really want to finish up what I started...I want to win these tournaments."
