Saturday, 18:59 Okay, what should I say. I am tired as hell, I had to face EVERY problem that could occur. I made decisions that were not easy, nor 100% fair. But all in all I think it tourned out right, evene if it was not a final made for the spectators.

Let me sum the tournament up: We had a tournament every admins hopes for. A dreamstart, many streams, nice games, a surprising DIPS who just rocked with nice picks. Not a single thing went wrong. And then the finals occurred. First one of the Dreamarena Extreme admins didn't want us to stream the game over Garena. We finally convinced everyone to do it. Garena AWESOME! But the same problems as last summer happened: Player dropped randomly while playing with garena. So after around 10 minutes we decided to play on LAN. The game went on nicely. A very entertaining game, lots of kills, much action, and emotions. Then at minute 18 Valeur dropped. A slap in the face since the last save was 14 minutes ago. HORROR! What to do? Play on? Remake? Give W/O to Tribal? After 15 minutes of discussions with Lacoste and Valeur (and random other players) we could agree on making up a complete new game. Suddenly (After it worked fine for one hour) the network screwed. Ten more minutes and 9 restarts later it was setteled. A new game, the audience cheered. Awesome! Or not? MiSeRy did not join for seven minutes. And then we recognized his warkeys is not working. Warkeys, which worked from the beginning on. One guy who handles the stage time and was not the nicest guy (although everyone else was) told them to start anyways. And so they did. Have zou ever played a DotA after you formated your PC and recognize that you haven't settled hotkeys? Yeah that sucks! So they played for only 17 minutes and the game was a total rape for unique who gave up to Tribal then. I do not know why everything that could go wrong went wrong. I do not know if there were choices I should have made differently. All I know is this: The finals sucked like hell! Not one entertaining game for you guys out there, and disappointment for the players. Tribal deserved the win. Nothing to say here, but I go on, or for a nice replacement. Looks like the DotA God left Dreamhack for SMM this days. Let's hope it will turn out better next time.

Saturday, 19:08. Enivid just gave us a comment saying he would rather play datoby than Naugrim. He felt good winning against 'DreamprO' and added that the next game is even more important.

raistlin100x100.jpg
Saturday, 19:04. BRAT_OK defeated w0nder 3-0 in the first round, and is now playing an on-song MorroW who could also eliminate his opponent by a 3-0 score. Though we have not seen the last of TuFFeR, as he will most likely shoutcast the grand final.

datoby and Naugrim has just started after some hardware errors, and it's looking tight. And this just in - HayprO is eliminated after losing to Enivid 3-1.

Friday, 23:43 Anything except the Grand Final is played. DIPS - although playing pretty well - only finished third. They made great picks and gave us very entertaining games. Cheers for suck nice picks. TMA the unique manager made an awesome interview with milo from DotALeague. He just answered for TMA, MiSeRy and Valeur at the same time, from three different PCs, which made the interview quite funny and entertaining to read. You can read the interview here.

Friday, 16:56 The Winner Bracket final is being played right now, check it out at WTV or GGTV, it will be shoutcasted in German and in English. The winner is in the Overall Final which will be held in the Dreamarena. The loser has to face unique in the Lower Bracket Final. We also asked the players to join the 1on1 FB tournament, that we created revently for all DreamHack visitors. Maybe we can get little prizes for it. And I am sure we can stream the finals as well. So stay tuned and enjoy this evening!

Friday, 02:20. So we are down to eight players in the StarCraft tournament and ten teams in DotA. Things have gone a lot smoother than expected and we will therefor have a Friday without any games in StarCraft while DotA will continue as planned. Thanks for following us today, see you guys tomorrow after some well earned rest!

Thursday, 22:22. The StarCraft tournament is running smoothly and we've decided that we'll play until we have eight players for playoff tonight already. So far there have been no surprises besides maybe the fact that TreK lost to Streetwalker in the very first round. We'll continue to keep you updated on how the tournament proceeds!

Thursday, 19:51 The DotA tournamnet runs smoothly. We try to stream one game each round. And so far managed to stream two games of Tribal.

The next game we will stream is EnRo vs Wåhlin, so stay tuned. It will be streamed via WTV and GGTV. For more information join #dreamhack.dota (@Quakenet) we always announce games we stream there.

Thursday, 16:31 The seeds are out, and the first games are going right now. Unique, Tribal, EnRo, Forget, DIPS and WÅHL got seeded. The first streams will be up in round two or three depends on the teams facing each other. Chutney is gone already (shopping ... well you know the girls) and I have to handle the first rounds alone. Nevertheless this tournament will run smoothely - at least I hope so.

Also TasteMe (Manager of unique.dota) adds a lot of pictures of this event, you can check them out here.

Thursday, 13:42 Chutney, Luin and I went to the StarCraft 2 booth, and we played a game. I played versus a random player, a really really bad Zerg player. I did some zealot/phoenix/archon mix and ended it quite quick.

I also played three games of Street Fighter IV. I lost 0-3 to LeiZ. Damnation, Blanka is so imbalanced.

Here's a photo of me pwning the guy.

DotA kicks off at 15:00, and we have Tribal Gaming, Unique and last summer's runner-ups 4G attending. Sadly, fnatic is not coming as previously announced. They are apparently going to SMM later. MiSery is here though as a stand-in for Unique.

raistlin100x100.jpg
Thursday, 11:24 The first day is upon us, and the people are entering the halls. I think I've already seen a dozen of people in shirts letting us know which WoW server they are on. Someone also told me to "bite" him in a pixely font. How nice.

In this blog we'll give you all the coverage from the StarCraft and the DotA tournament. To all the Swedes taking part in the StarCraft tournament: beware, as BRAT_OK has arrived to the venue. Last time he ended only fifth, so he should be hungry for more here.

Other than that, Swedish top players as HayprO, TuFFeR, MorroW, datoby and ZpuX are coming, so expect some really nice games.

The video crew with Enron in the top, drops in later today so expect some nice videos coming to your browser soon.

Going to snap some photos and let you know how it looks this year - the A hall is fully dedicated to eSports now.

I've heard rumours that Artosis might be coming to DreamHack to shoutcast R.U.S.E, but it sounds strange. I'll keep you updated on that.
