Arthelon supposedly leaving Bob Ross Fan Club for Cloud9, BRFC will play Heroes Hype with sub.
A reddit thread and a tweet posted by BRFC manager Kenma speculates player Arthelon will be leaving the team to join Cloud9. The tweet also says the former Tempo Storm player would have joined earlier had they not traveled to China immediately after BlizzCon. Arthelon and the Cloud9 players have yet to make an actual statement about the supposed roster change yet. Tempo Storms Zoia suggested this change could happen just a couple of weeks ago on Town Hall Heroes saying he thought Cloud9 might be replacing Fan.
It's no secret Cloud9 had a rough time at Gold Series Hero League Season 2. Barely making it out of the group stages and getting fourth place overall. Premier tournaments like BlizzCon and Gold Series require rosters to be set after a certain point in the qualifications. Because of this there's no telling how long Cloud9 has actually wanted to make their roster change(s). After finishing up at Gold Series the world champs announced they would not be attending World Cyber Arena and that they were making a much-needed break but that they would be going to the Gold Series Hero League Grand Finals in January.
The current BRFC members are no strangers to top-notch competition consisting of former members from Tempo Storm, compLexity and Cloud9. The group formed almost immediately after BlizzCon and while they've proven they are a force to be reckoned with, they have yet to sign to any organization or gain any sponsors.
This roster speculation comes just days before BRFC is supposed to play in the Heroes Hype Holiday Showdown. We asked Kenma if they still planned on playing, he told us they would be and that they are using a sub for the showcase.
His post continues to say "We are moving forward looking for a new 5th, and we have already contacted a few players. We will be using the rest of December to find a permanent 5th member before signing with an org."
