I easily just played the dumbest hearthstone game ever.
The scene: Arena. Priest vs Priest. My deck has three mind controls. You see where this might be going.
The early turns go as you would expect for a priest mirror match. We played minions. We killed minions. We hit 10 mana with both of us at 30 life.
Then it started. My opponent played Ysera. I though “Ha! No problem” because I had gift of luminance in my hand. I made a copy, killed his.
Then he mind controlled my copy.
I mind controlled it back.
He mind controlled it again.
I topdecked mind control, so I stole it again. I thought it was over, but no, I underestimated him.
My opponent cast gift of luminance on it and then killed my copy, as I had done to his.
I was out of tricks, except that I had the cards to kill it one last time, so I did. I assumed that this time it was finally over. We can carry on as a normal game. How wrong I was...
My opponent cast a second Ysera from hand. He had one from his deck and another from the new dragon generating priest spell. I thought “Well, I sure hope I topdeck my last mind control.”
I did. I drew my third mind control and stole his new Ysera.
He eventually killed it again, but it was too late. The damage was done. I used some Ysera spells to blow up his board a couple times and then I won.
Never seen anything like it and probably won’t again for a long time.
Wish I had recorded it.
