As the time to eat my shorts approaches, I offer two predictions for two themes I believe the expansion will be.
Prediction 1: Night Elves
As mentioned in my previous post, the expansion can still be night elves. If so, I have a couple of theme theories.
Theory 1: The battle of dark shore
The tattered look of the banner can suggest war, and with the night elf theme, the burning of teldrassil could very much be great source material for a Night Elves vs Horde expansion. (Much to the dismay of WoW players) Maybe add some void elves as part of the symbol.
Theory 2: The War of the Ancients
Going even deeper into the lore, this expansion could have us going back in time to the War of the Ancients. The vibrant purple of the banner suggests arcane energy, and in this period, night elves were potent spellcasters, and used the arcane liberally.
A sub-theme of this could be a Suramar expansion.
Theme #2- Shadowmmon Valley/Draenei
With a post predicting draenei, looking closer makes this prediction quite plausible (I really don’t want to eat my shorts). This race is quite underrepresented in hearthstone. Maraad, Kil’Jaeden, Nobundo, and more can all be Legendaries. The one thing I have against is that this will be in the same location (regardless of reality) as the previous expansion.
Theme #3: The Gorian Empire

Anyway, the Gorian empire will be interesting...to say the least. Again with my counterpoint of going against doing two of the same location. Plus their banner matches the color scheme.
Runners Up (very unlikely): Dalaran after EVIL, Azeroth and Beyond (Titans and the Void), A Draenei space opera, Murlocs at the Mall, Moldy_Baguette’s Glorious Basement.
